When handing over e-waste, it is allowed that 10% of the waste has some defects, in case the percentage is higher, the collector has the right not to take over the e-waste or to charge for the disposal of "garbage". The recycling process makes no sense if you remove all the components from your devices.

ZEOS E-TAXI is a free e-waste collection service in the Sarajevo Canton, for more than 30kg, for the population, while companies fill out an order through the "Hand over e-waste" option.

Important information about e-waste

Electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) has been properly managed in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the company ZEOS eko-sistem d.o.o. since 2013. The legal regulation governing this area is called the Rulebook on the management of waste from electrical and electronic products (Official Gazette of FBiH 23/23). The Rulebook regulates the procedure and rules for placing electrical and electronic products on the market, as well as the establishment of the electrical and electronic waste management system, including take-back, collection, treatment, recycling, export, temporary storage and other activities with the aim of achieving the elements of the circular economy.

E-waste is the term used for electrical and electronic waste, i.e. all old or broken appliances that worked on electricity or batteries, excluding the categories of toners, batteries, military equipment, large industrial machines, products that are an integral part of another type of equipment or are built into buildings, as well as component/spare parts of devices. These devices are collected and managed in our country through authorized and legal channels, which is the only way to prevent environmental pollution, improve the entire system and preserve important critical resources.
